About

I'm a screenwriter and videographer by trade, and a metalhead at heart. Since having a "eureka" moment listening to Linkin Park for the first time on the radio as a teenager, I feel like I've traversed most of the different stages of metalhead-dom - from gateway band adoration to mild, name-three-albums gatekeeping, and tunnel-vision subgenre purist to diplomatic style-chameleon. In the end, my favorite kind of metal will probably always be Swedish melodeath, which hurts just a little bit being Norwegian, having to recognize that our eastern neighbor does almost every type of music better than us. I'm also a sucker for doomy heavy metal, whacky prog, aggressive thrash and groove, old school metalcore and genre-bending black metal. There's so many different exciting flavors to this metal life, after all.
