I wasn’t even gonna do another review this year. I wanted to shift my focus on getting my 2025 top 10 albums post ready. But I felt compelled for some reason to do a review for this one. CHAPTER 04: RED FALCON SUPER BATTLE! NEO PARIS WAR!! is the 4th full length album from whatever the fuck French hardcore crossover rap ani-metal band Rise of the Northstar. Fucks sake I’ve listened to this album much more than I needed to.

This a weird review, it will be all over the place. I’m gonna give the score early: 7/10. Why am I giving it now, why is it 7/10? I really don’t know. Maybe we will find out throughout this review together. That’s the theme for my relationship with this band and in turn this review. I don’t know. In theory, I shouldn’t enjoy this band as much as I do, but I DON’T KNOW why, year after year, I am drawn back to listen to them by my own doing. They aren’t bad by any means, but it’s so damn stupid and ridiculous, I love it. I’m not so sure about the rapping, and there is so much that makes me cringe, again I DON’T KNOW why I keep listening to this band. They got groove, style, and they’re unapologetically themselves, maybe that’s it. I will tell you what I know for sure though, Rise of the Northstar are always hitting the listener with ass beating violent fucking breakdowns. I suppose this is what keeps me coming back. The fact it can be so unbelievably cringe at times but still get me thinking it’s badass, I feel fulfilled and retarded. Honestly, isn’t all music cringe and ridiculous? 

The breakdowns on the tracks Neo Paris and Falcon are excuses for you to assault the people around you with no repercussions. Payback and Pressure got a great bounce to them. Under and 75 Outro are pure hip-hip/rap songs, and they’re good I guess! Dudes got a pretty decent flow. If you’re a fan of Nasty, Deez Nuts, anime, Biohazard?, Limp Bizkit, Lionheart and thick French accents, then you might vibe hard with this record and Rise of the Northstar as a whole. 

Not the typical review, not the typical band, not the typical record. Rise of the Northstar’s CHAPTER 04: RED FALCON SUPER BATTLE! NEO PARIS WAR!! is a interesting fun and unique listen. I guess I like it! It’s not my favorite album from the band, but it boasts some high highs. Mosh parts, mosh parts! I love these, and I mean this with the utmost respect possible, freaky freshstyle French fuckers. Now I will rewatch Fist of the North Star.
